Field Lube Technician/Mechanic

Location: Longview, TX

Bobcat of North Texas is the official dealer for Bobcat sales and construction equipment rentals. With 11 locations throughout the metroplex, We carry an extensive inventory of new and used compact equipment, skid-steer loaders, utility vehicles and more.

Bobcat of North Texas - Longview is seeking a highly motivated individual to function as a Field Quick Service Technician. If you have mechanical aptitude, a desire to work hard, and love providing world class customer service, apply to join our team today!

Responsibilities

  • Service multiple machines on a daily basis.

  • Perform minor repairs such as leaks, field mods, etc.

  • Maintain necessary parts inventory in service truck.

  • Complete work orders for every job.

  • Properly document time and inventory for each job.

  • Document and perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy following all dealership and factory standards

  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.

  • Keep job site clean.

  • Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.

  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.

  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.

  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.

  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level technician qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred.

  • Strong physical dexterity for working with tools.

  • Must have their own complete tool set

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and be a team player.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Punctual and reliable.

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.

  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
